Boosterthon’s 2017-18 giveback program is called Project Classroom!
For many teachers in America, providing essential class resources means dipping into their own pockets. They buy everything from books to STEM resources for their students. Some teachers even leave the profession because they simply can’t afford it.
But what if OTHER PEOPLE could fund these classroom projects INSTEAD of teachers?
Boosterthon is partnering with DonorsChoose, a non-profit that allows people to fund classroom projects created by public school teachers.
That’s where Project Classroom comes in. Boosterthon is partnering with DonorsChoose.org, a non-profit organization that allows people to fund classroom projects created by public school teachers. Through DonorsChoose.org, Boosterthon is donating $75,000 to help American classrooms with the greatest needs. Every time a Boosterthon classroom reaches $30 per lap, we’ll donate one dollar to fund classroom projects.
But we want some help. We’re asking each Boosterthon school to nominate a classroom project they want to see be fully funded from DonorsChoose’s wide network.
Each month, we’ll fully fund 12 projects—that’s 120 total projects, equaling $75,000.
And with DonorsChoose, schools will be able to see exactly where the money is going, down to the city, school, class, and resource.
When schools help schools, education gets stronger.

Coming soon: In a few months, we’ll post a link for everyone to review which classroom projects we’ve funded!
