Hurricanes Harvey and Irma have caused major devastation throughout Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and other parts of the gulf coast. In addition to heavy wind and rain, many areas suffered severe flood damage. School districts are surveying the damage to classrooms, and many teachers will likely need help restoring lost supplies.

In light of these terrible storms, Boosterthon has decided to channel all $100,000 of Project Classroom’s give back donations towards DonorsChoose.org’s Hurricane Harvey Recovery Fund and Hurricane Irma Recovery Fund. 100% of donations to these funds will go directly to schools impacted by the storm.

Boosterthon has decided to channel all of $100,000 of Project Classroom’s give back donations towards DonorsChoose.org’s Hurricane Harvey Recovery Fund and Hurricane Irma Recovery Fund. 100% of donations to this fund will go directly to schools impacted by the storm.

The money from these funds will help teachers rebuild and replace their classrooms with materials like books, furniture, classroom supplies, technology, and therapy resources.

All donations will be used to fund these classroom projects, so that teachers and students at hurricane-damaged schools can get back to learning as quickly as possible.

In the spirit of Project Classroom’s tagline, “Schools Helping Schools,” we’re asking all of our school partners to join Boosterthon in helping schools affected by this disaster by making a donation to either the Hurricane Harvey Recovery Fund or the Hurricane Irma Recovery Fund.

Boosterthon Giveback Program Project Classroom DonorsChoose

Boosterthon’s 2017-18 give back program is called Project Classroom!

For many teachers in America, providing essential class resources means dipping into their own pockets. They buy everything from books to STEM resources for their students. Some teachers even leave the profession because they simply can’t afford it.

But what if OTHER PEOPLE could fund these classroom projects INSTEAD of teachers?

Boosterthon is partnering with DonorsChoose, a non-profit that allows people to fund classroom projects created by public school teachers.

That’s where Project Classroom comes in. Boosterthon is partnering with DonorsChoose.org, a non-profit organization that allows people to fund classroom projects created by public school teachers. Through DonorsChoose.org, Boosterthon is donating $100,000 to help American classrooms with the greatest needs.

And with DonorsChoose, schools will be able to see exactly where the money is going, down to the city, school, class, and resource.

When schools help schools, education gets stronger.
