The My Princess Dance is pure magic. It’s a daddy-daughter dance for girls ages 3 – 16 that makes you believe a bedtime story’s come to life.

In it’s eighth year, the dance will take place in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, February 2nd from 6:30 – 9:30 PM.

For the last three years, the Atlanta Boosterthon team with Elevate Live Events have been humbled to help host the dance and add a little more fairy dust to this already enchanting evening.

Straight out of your favorite picture book, the My Princess Dance has everything little girls imagine when they dream of one day attending a ball: beautiful, twirling dresses, pink cupcakes coupled under chocolate fountains, a white horse and carriage, an elegant aerial ballerina, live princesses from classic tales, and of course, a hero that loves them deeply.

The 2013 theme is Heroes and Princesses Unite. The evening helps transform girls into beautiful princesses, while uniting fathers (heroes) with their daughters. In the busyness of life, some moments must slow down and require more of our attention. That’s why Woody Faulk of Chick-fil-A, the dance’s host, started the event eight years ago—to help parents intentionally focus on their children.

The evening is as much for the fathers as it is for their daughters. Fathers are cast as the heroes, modeling the behavior of a gentleman and how women should expect to be treated. There’s even a formal knighting ceremony where fathers promise to love, protect, and raise their princess well.

For those who live in Atlanta or can drive, please come if you can. Make this evening a Valentine’s Day treat or an early birthday gift. It’s an experience your little girl will talk about for the rest of the year.
